We're a community for alternative culture enthusiasts where metalheads, goths, punks, and anyone interested in alternative music and culture can come together.

Everyone! Whether you're deeply involved in alternative culture or just curious to explore, we welcome all students and non-students who want to be part of an inclusive community. If you're interested in alternative music, fashion, or culture, there's a place for you here.
Why join?
Being part of the Alternative Society means making friends with like-minded people while discovering new music and exploring your identity. Join us for live gig outings, listening parties, DIY craft nights, karaoke nights, and more. We're all about creating a welcoming, inclusive space for everyone to be themselves.
How much does it cost?
Students can join for £4, and non-students for £5.
Where and when do we meet?
We'll be hosting regular face-to-face meetups with some online events. Specific meeting times and locations will be announced soon!
