I decided to pursue a career in law because I have a genuine interest in learning more about the laws that govern our country. I have always loved to learn and the law has an incredibly wide range of information to learn about so I knew it was a perfect fit.
How has being a member of the Law society enhanced your academic and professional journey in the field of law?
Being a member of the law society has given me the opportunity to meet and learn for students in the higher years and given me a sense of comfort going forward. It has also helped me be more prepared for what it to come in my journey at abertay.
What specific activities or events organised by AULS do you find most useful and enjoyable?
I found both social and academic events enjoyable this semester. Being a first year student having events organised by the law society and the ability to get involved greatly helped my sense of comfort at Abertay. Attending law society events allowed me to meet other students and gain knowledge from their experience at the university. It also made me feel like I was a part of something a feeling which in such a new and scary environment can be close to impossible. The welcoming atmosphere of the law society is something I am incredibly grateful for.
