What made you choose to join the Animation Society?

Animation is an art that really benefits from having a community to get together and work on projects or just to get another set of eyes on your work. A society for animation lets the community of artists and animators (or animation fans!) come together and get to know each other. I love everything gameplay animation so I’m most looking forward to our jams to get to nerd out with people who think the same!

What's the first animated movie or show you remember falling in love with?

As a kid I absolutely loved Scooby Doo! I used to watch it every day when I got home from school. I honestly just remember watching so many Hanna-Barbera cartoons growing up. I still love that old cartoony animation style.

What’s a scene from an animated film or show that always gives you chills?

Ghibli’s Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is genuinely the most stunning animation I’ve ever seen. The scene where Nausicaä sacrifices herself to the Ohms to stop the invasion and the Ohms bringing her back to life makes me sob every time.

Which animation studio do you think has the most iconic style, and why?

I have such a soft spot for stop motion animation and Aardman has the most charming style! If you’re not having a yearly Wallace and Gromit marathon, what are you doing?

If you could live in any fictional world, which one would it be and why?

Probably Cowboy Bebop, but only if I could be a space cowboy.

What's your favourite board game or video game, and what makes it so enjoyable for you?

If you know me, I’ve talked your ear off about Zelda being the best game series of all time. Skyward Sword was my childhood fave, something so nostalgic about them janky motion controls.

If you could have any animal as a pet, regardless of practicality or legality, what would you choose and why?

I was talking to someone whose friend had a pet crab that they dressed up in little hats and now I want one too.
