Why did you want to become a Community Rep?

In a time when politicians in the west are doing their best to make things worse for queer people, it’s more important than ever that we are properly represented wherever we can be. We need to make ourselves heard.

What’s the one piece of advice you would give to students you represent?

I believe everyone should experiment with different pronouns and labels at least once. Whether or not the changes stick, it’s a win-win: you'll either learn something about yourself and become much happier, or you’ll learn something about what other people go through and it’ll help you be more understanding.

Where is your favourite spot in Dundee?

I really like going for walks in Dudhope Park, but to be honest it’s the Bach (the restaurant). If you haven’t been there, do yourself a favour: I could eat there every day for a month without getting fed up.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Sadly, mostly video games. It’s my degree, it’s my main hobby, it’s my future career.

What’s the strangest or most interesting thing you’ve ever eaten?

Raw octopus is pretty nice actually. Bit chewy though.
