Why did I want to become a Department Rep?

I became a Department Rep because I was voted, of course! But jokes aside, the reason I applied was because I wanted to put myself out there a bit more while at the same time being able to help people around me with similar interests. I won't pretend I'm some perfect model student altruist who took this role for world peace, bit who can complain about a win-win? :)

What's the one piece of advice you would give to students you represent?

Be open! As cliché as it sounds, just being open with me is all I can really suggest in general. I might be a first year, but I am 22, having worked for a few years so I do have some "life experience" of which I learned that being open to talking is really as useful as they say/ I like to think I'm a good listener but I'm not a mind-reader so please let me know if I can help!

If I could have any pet, regardless of legality, what would I choose and why?

Monkey. Monkeys are cool. I think they could teach me to dance.

If you could have any superpower for a day, what would you choose and how would you use it?

Super memory, so I can spend 24 hours learning everything I want.
