SECURI-TAY 2023
Today, 3rd of March, marks the 11th edition of Securi-Tay, a yearly information security conference that happens at Abertay University. It’s organised by the student committee of the Ethical Hacking Society of Abertay and is the largest student organised information security conference in all of Europe.
Welcoming over 350 attendees, this event allows students to get in contact with companies and professionals of the cybersecurity industry coming from throughout the entire UK, enabling them to build a network, gain contacts and find footholds for once they graduate. The conference also gives students new insights on the different aspects of cybersecurity with the wide variety of speakers and workshops that are being offered. These run over 3 consecutive tracks and offer talks and speakers from the multiple different sectors of the cybersecurity industry.
After the conference, an afterparty will allow all the attendees to unwind and talk to each other after a busy day. It also provides the opportunity for them to share a meal with colleagues, students and old friends. This also allows them to network and meet other cyber-enthusiasts.
The conference is a great success every year and tickets sell out within seconds.
